Sponsor the Beard Up Boys!

The 2nd Annual Beard Up Boys fundraiser kicked-off on 1 June but you can join in at any time until the end of winter.

It’s a great way to involve all of your mates from your local pub, footy team, etc. in raising funds for a great cause and here’s how it works:

  • Willing men will commit to growing a beard throughout winter (1 June – 28 August)
  • BrAshA-T supporters will be encouraged to generously sponsor the Beard Up Boys
  • Registration for the beard growers is $65 (includes a BrAshA-T shirt) with an additional $50 penalty if the beard is shaved-off before the end of winter
  • On the last Sunday in winter (28 August 2016) is the Big Shave Off which takes the form of a BBQ fundraiser with raffles, entertainment, kid’s face painting, etc.

Gala Charity Dinner

Our major fundraiser is our Annual BrAshA-T Gala Charity Dinner and Memorabilia Auction, typically held in June of each year. This is when we are in most need of corporate sponsorship.

Any donations such as memorabilia, artwork, holiday lettings, store vouchers, products and/or services that can be used as prizes for our auctions and various raffles would be greatly appreciated.

In lieu of prizes you may like to purchase a table for 10 to the dinner and bring along some of your clients and/or staff.  Some companies are using this dinner as a reward for their hardest working employees.

We aim to keep ticket prices under $100.  This is proving more and more difficult with high quality venues as their costs increase every year.  In an attempt to cover our venue costs (and therefore keep the ticket price at a minimum) we would also appeal to you to consider becoming one of our four Major Sponsors for the evening.

As a Major Sponsor you will receive recognition on our web site and newsletter, branding and formal recognition at the dinner, a complimentary table of 10 for you and your employees, customers, suppliers and/or friends, and of course the satisfaction of making a huge difference to the lives of A-T sufferers and their families by enabling the ongoing search for a cure.

Workplace Giving

Would you like to help by getting your workplace involved? Workplace Giving is when donors make donations from their salary to charities.

We’ve partnered with Good2Give which is a not-for-profit providing back office administration, streamlined accounting and monthly donation distribution minimising costs for charities, donors and employers.

CAF has developed a web site called www.good2give.org.au, which can be used by employers to set-up Workplace Giving and for employees to make one-off or regular donations to charities such as BrAshA-T.

The benefits of establishing Workplace Giving at you workplace using www.good2give.org.au are:

  • creates a positive community spirit within a company
  • enables donors in the workplace to give to charities pre-tax
  • employers can supercharge company giving by matching staff donations
  • donors receive an automatic tax deduction and don’t have to retain receipts
  • donations can be one-off for special events or ongoing to support a charity such as BrAshA-T
